Kathmandu, Chitwan & Pokhara Tour
A trip that gives you an opportunity to explore temples and shrines of
historical and archaeological interests in the medieval towns of Kathmandu
valley where you will view sights that will take you back almost 300 years in
time, where feudalism ruled the day until a single man called Prithvi Narayan
Shah thought differently and unified a whole nation. Added to this will be a
blitz into Nepal's exotic wildlife at the Chitwan National park. You will get to
see the massive one-horned rhino, light-footed deer, an elephant breeding centre
and the elusive tiger napping in the shade.
After this trip in the wild, you will drive to Pokhara through a lush, green highway where from the windows of your vehicle, your eyes will behold snowy mountain landscapes and in the course of your drive, you will pass through little hamlets and villages on the way that will give you some deep insights into Nepal's rural lifestyles; till you finally reach Pokhara is a beautiful city and one of the most famous tourist destinations. Lying 200 km away from Kathmandu, Pokhara is overlooked by the beautiful Annapurna Ranges and spectacular snow-capped mountains. ITINERARY:
Day 1 Arrive Kathmandu
It is a panoramic thrill flying into
Kathmandu on a clear day. The views of snow-capped mountain peaks sprawling down
below you are almost ecstatic, beginning a whole chain of memorable experiences
that stay with you for a long, long time. A representative and driver from our
office will meet you at the airport and escort you to your hotel. The
representative will help you check into your designated hotel. At the hotel you
will be briefed about your daily activities.
Day 2 Sightseeing around Kathmandu
After an early breakfast, you
are ready to do sightseeing tour in 4 major places in Kathmandu - Swoyambhunath
(Monkey temple), Boudhanath, Pashupatinath, and Kathmandu durbar squire. We
begin today's sightseeing tour with a visit to Swoyambhunath a 2500-year old
site where, it is believed, the Radiant Lotus of the valley-mythology, settled
when the water was drained by Manjushri, the god of Wisdom. The 5 dhyani
Buddha's attended by their consorts are enshrined at the base of the stupa.
(Non-Hindus are not allowed inside Swayambhunath temple) then continues tour
into Boudhanath it is the world,s largest stupa and of Tibetan Buddhist Culture
in Nepal. Antique shops where you can buy things of your interest relating to
Buddhist surrounded the monastery. After Boudhanath your next spot is The
Pashupatinath temple stands along the side of Bagmati River. It is the holiest
Temple for Hindus. Many people from different part of Asia visit this Temple.
Temple dedicated to lord Shiva, is also a site for Hindu cremation. During the
festival Shiva Ratri temple crowed by devotees. Afternoon visit Kathmandu durbar
squire, Hanuman Dhoka, the ancient royal residential quarter, Mahadev and
Parvati Temple, Machhender Bahl-holy place for the Buddhists and Hindus, Temple
House of Kumari, the vestal virgin or the living goddess. Walk around the local
bazaars then drive to Hotel.
Day 3 Sightseeing tour around Bhaktapur & Patan
After breakfast
we take you to Bhaktapur old durbar squire where you will witness unique culture
and finest display of craftsmanship. Bhaktapur is the only place in Nepal which
has remained untouched by western culture. Lion Gate, Golden Gate, Art Gallery,
Statue of King Bhupatindra, Nyatapola Temple and fifty-five windowed Malla
Palace are the living prides of Bhaktapur and you will tour around all these
places and drive you to Patan durbar squire to explore Patan Durbar Square,
Mahaboudha Temple, Kumbeshwor temple, Krishna Temple, Golden Temple and many
other places of Patan, you feel as if Patan has been unveiled before you as an
open museum showcasing intricately carved windows, intrinsic roof struts,
statues of gods and goddesses, temples designed in pagoda style with erotic
carvings and repoussé metalwork facades and many other exquisite facets. You
will also get to see handicraft centre in Patan then drive you to Hotel.
Day 4 Kathmandu - Chitwan
Drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan and it
takes about five hours. The Chitwan National Park is the lush valley of Chitwan
situated in the foothills of Churia ranges which houses the first National Park
of the Kingdom. This National Park is famous for its variety of wildlife
especially the Great Indian One Horned Rhinoceros and the elusive Royal Bengal
Tiger. After arrival in Hotel provide Welcome drinks served upon check in at
Chitwan hotel. Same day start some Jungle activities.
Day 5 Chitwan
Morning: Breakfast. Canoe ride in the Rapti River,
(an good opportunity to see Bird and two rare species of crocodiles; Marsh
Mugger as well as fish eating Gharial.) Jungle Walk and visit elephant bathing
center. Afternoon: Lunch. Elephant Safari (an opportunity to see four different
kinds of deer, rhinoceros, wild boar, monkey, leopard, sloth bear also you will
also encounter many other smaller mammals that have made Chitwan their home.)
Evening: Sun set view from the bank of Rapti River, slight show or culture
program. Night: Dinner and overnight at hotel.
Day 6 Chitwan - Pokhara
After breakfast, visit to the Government
Elephant Breeding Centre or extra jungle activities then drive to Pokhara. After
noon around 2 pm you arrive in Pokhara. You can refresh and do some shopping or
relax in hotel
Day 7 Sightseeing in Pokhara Valley
After breakfast the sightseeing
starts inside the valley of Pokhara. The sightseeing places are as follows: Old
bazzar of Pokhara city, Bindhayabasini temple, Seti George, Buddhist monastery,
Pokhara regional museum which displays the traditional things of western Nepal,
Devis Fall, Gupteshwor Cave, Tibetan refusee camp, Barahi temple which lies in
the central part of the lake Fewa etc.
Day 8 Sarankot, Peace stupa and boating at Fewa Lake
Today you will
wake up early in morning to go to Sarankot which is very famous viewpoint for
sunrise and sunset. On the other hand it is popular spot to view the gigantic
and snowcapped Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. It is nearly 1 hour drive to go
and back. Then, in the afternoon visit to Peace Stupa, nearly one and half hour
hiking to the top then descend to the lake Fewa for boating.
Day 9 Pokhara - Kathmandu
After breakfast, you will drive back to
Kathmandu. After reaching Kathmandu, you can spend the rest of the day for
relaxing or shopping
Day 10 Depart Kathmandu
End of our services with departure transfer
to the Kathmandu airport to board flight for your onward destination
