In Lhasa you explore the Potala Palace, Sera Monastery, Norbulingka, Jokhang Temple, Drepung Monastery and the busy Barkhor Square.

Leaving Lhasa, you will be driven past picturesque Tibetan settlements where nomadic herdsmen can be seen wandering across the wide arid plateau. This overland journey takes you over several high mountain passes with spectacular mountain views, including those of the majestic Mount Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu and Shishapangma. Your adventure tour continues to the historic cities of Shigatse and Gyantse. As you explore the ancient monasteries, forts, and citadels you get an insight into the rich Tibetan culture and history.

Since the tragic Nepalese earthquake on April 25th, 2015, the Nepal border Zhangmu port has remained closed but Kerung border is open to go for the Lhasa or Tibet and Kailash visit. Itinerary

Day 01: Kathmandu (1300) -Kerung Border (145 KM) 06-07 hours drive
Early in the morning scenic drive to Kerung Border (Nepal-Tibet Border) after necessary border formalities at Nepalese immigration, Chinese immigration, Continue drive to Kerung. Stay overnight at Hotel

Day 02: Kerung - Tingri (4300m) – Shigatse (390 KM)
Day drive uphill to the highest plateau of the world with the typical view of Tibetan landscape offering sheer feeling of standing on the roof of the world. Continue scenic drive crossing Over Gyatchu La (5,220M), the highest pass en route to Lhasa via Lhatse from where a road to Mt Kailash bifurcates to the west. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 03: Shigatse – Lhasa Via Gyantse (3650m) 260 KM
Morning sightseeing to the Panchen Lama's Tashilhumpu Monastery. Drive to Gyantse and visit to the Kumbum Stupa & Phalkor Monastery than full day picturesque drive crossing over Karola (5,010m), Kambala (4,749m), Colorful Yamdrok-Tso Lake O/N at Hotel Yak.

Day 04-05: Sightseeing In Lhasa
Two full days sightseeing tour to Lhasa including Jokhang Temple, Barkhor Bazaar, And Potala Palace Drepung & Sera Monasteries. Stay overnight at Hotel.

Day 06: Lhasa – Xegar/Tingri (4200m) 494KM
After Breakfast, Drive to Tingri, -O/N at Guest House.

Day 07: Xegar to Kerung town (2770m) 334KM 
After Breakfast, Drive to Kyirung

Day 08:- Kerung to Kerong Border to Kathmandu 395KM
Early morning, Drive to Border, cross border — drive back to Kathmandu end Service
