Trip Summary

The Tibet Everest Base Camp Tour, combined with the Lhasa to Kathmandu Overland journey, is a perfect blend of culture and nature, offering one of the most unforgettable travel experiences in the Himalayas. This epic adventure takes you from the spiritual heart of Lhasa across the vast Tibetan Plateau to the legendary Everest Base Camp, before descending into the lush valleys of Nepal. Along the way, explore Tibet’s most iconic landmarks, including the Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and bustling Barkhor Street, immersing yourself in centuries-old Tibetan Buddhist culture.

As the journey continues westward, pass through the historic towns of Gyantse and Shigatse, where you'll visit revered sites like Pelkor Chode Monastery, the Gyantse Kumbum, and Tashilhunpo Monastery, seat of the Panchen Lama. The landscape gradually becomes more dramatic as you approach the Himalayan range, culminating in a visit to Rongbuk Monastery (4,980m)—the world’s highest monastery—and a hike to Everest Base Camp (5,200m). There, you’ll stand in awe before the towering north face of Mount Everest (8,848m), surrounded by snow-covered giants and stark mountain beauty.

From Everest, descend through the remote valleys of the Qomolangma National Nature Reserve to the border town of Kyirong (2,700m). Cross into Nepal and continue through forested hills and scattered villages toward Kathmandu, where your journey concludes. Upon arrival, you’ll be transferred to your hotel, and our service ends—leaving you with lasting memories of Tibet’s spiritual depth, its breathtaking natural scenery, and the unmatched grandeur of the Himalayas.
