Renjo La and Chola Pass Trek

Renjo La and Chola Pass Trek

Renjo La and Cho La Pass trek is a popular challenging trek in the Everest region that passes through rugged terrain, high altitude passes, and remote villages. The trek starts and ends in Lukla, a small town with an airport that serves as the gateway to the Everest region. From Lukla, the trail heads north, passing through traditional Sherpa villages, old buddhist monasteries, lush forests, gokyo glacial lakes and glaciers. Trekkers will also have the opportunity to see stunning mountain views, including Mt. Everest, as they make their way to the Renjo La Pass and Cho La Pass. The Renjo La Pass is considered a challenging pass, reaching a height of 5,360 meters. The Cho La Pass, on the other hand, is considered a moderate pass, reaching a height of 5,420 meters.

The trek to the both passes is strenuous and requires a good physical condition, but the panoramic views of the mountain ranges and glaciers is worth it. The trek usually takes 18-21 days to complete. This trek is considered one of the most rewarding trek in Nepal, as it offers trekkers a chance to explore the beautiful Himalayas, experience the unique Sherpa culture and also get a close-up view of the highest mountain in the world.
