Rapid Everest Base Camp Trek - 11 Days
If you are strong enough and want to trek the most popular Everest base camp in Nepal but you have a limited time schedule, the Rapid Everest base camp trek may be suitable for you. The Rapid Everest Base Camp Trek is an 11-day program that requires faster walking than other normal trekkers. The trek takes to you at the Base camp of Mount Everest and top of the Kala Patthar/Pattar Peak (5545 m) for the amazing mountain views with excellent sunrise. The trek begins after a flight from Kathmandu to Lukla and end the trek after a flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu.
The trek route passes through Sherpa villages and old Tibetan Buddhist monasteries (gompas), mani stones whose shapes echo the mountains, prayer wheels so large that they take our full body-weight to turn, ice-cold rivers and the world’s highest suspension bridge, mossy forests and bare, high-altitude rock-scapes. And of course, views of the highest mountains in the world, Everest and Ama Dablam the most spectacular among them.
The trek route/trail is inside the Sagarmatha national park (Sagarmatha is the Nepali name for Everest), a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a refuge for musk deer, red pandas, snow leopard, Himalayan tahr, black bear and many spectacular types of pheasant. The prime trekking season brings serious crowds on this trek. The best time to do the Everest Base Camp trek is in spring and autumn, but possible to do the Everest Base Camp trek anytime of the year without any difficulty.
The Rapid Everest Base camp trek is also complete all destinations of long days standard Everest Base Camp trek, but you need to walk faster and no additional day for the acclimatization entire the trekking. This trek is one of the most famous treks in the world for the great Himalayan views and to see the origin Sherpa and their culture. Of course, to reach at the Base Camp of world highest peak Mount Everest is the main goal of this trek. Although without climb the Kala Patthar Peak doesn't complete the journey because Kala Patthar offers better views than Everest Base Camp.
Nepal’s Everest Base Camp is quite different from other Base Camps treks in Nepal because we can’t see the best view of Mount Everest even from the Everest Base Camp (5364 meters) means there are other insanely tall mountains blocking some view of Mount Everest so most of the trekkers climb the non-technical peak Kala Patthar (5545 meters) for the best views of Mount Everest and surrounding Himalayas.
