Ghorepani Poon Hill trekking is one of the most popular and easy classic trekking route in Annapurna region offers excellent views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna Himalayan range with best sunrise and sunset views. It is possible to make short trek 3 to 4 days go and back same route through the Ulleri village from Nayapul (Birethanti) but most of trekkers decided to make a ghorepani and ghandruk circuit instead of returning back same route which is required 5 days to end the trek at Nayapul and 6 days to end the trek at Dhampus phedi.
During the trek, you can see the immense views of Mt. Dhaulagiri 8167m, Annapurna I 8091m, Fishtail / Machhapuchhre 6993m, Nilgiri 7041m, Bharha Shikhar 7647m Annapurna south 7219m, Annapurna II 7939m, Annapurna III 7555m, Annapurna IV 7525m, Lamjung Himal 6988m, Hiun chuli 6434m and many more white smiling mountains. Trekking to Ghorepani Poon Hill trail winds through patchwork valleys, dense rhododendron forests and past icy waterfalls where travelers can stop to cool their mind after the walk. Around every corner is a tantalizing glimpse of the high mountains horizons. The trekking trail passes through the ethnic villages inhabited by magars and gurungs.
Ghorepani and Poon Hill trekking is starts from Pokhara, the Lake City with an amphitheater of mountains. Pokhara is access with motor road and flight.
