Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return

Everest Base Camp Trek with Helicopter Return offers a great experience of hiking and Heli flying in Nepal. Nowadays trekking to Everest Base Camp and returning by helicopter is very popular and has become a great option for those who do not want to return to Lukla on foot. Everest Base Camp is most famous for trekking among every adventure traveler and trekker, but unfortunately… not many people will have enough time to walk from Lukla and back. The right option for them would be to walk from Lukla to Mount Everest Base Camp and return to Kathmandu by chartered helicopter. The cost of travel will be expensive as we need to charter a helicopter. As we believe, the price is not a big deal if you dream of stepping into the base camp of Mount Everest, and Kala Patthar, in a short amount of time. Walking from Lukla to Everest Base Camp and returning by helicopter from Gorak Shep (5140 m) would be the perfect itinerary to fulfill your dream. To reach Lukla, you have to take an exciting air flight from Kathmandu airport.

You will start the trek from Lukla and trek down to Dudh Koshi river and further, you will reach Phakding situated at an altitude of 2610 meters. On your way to Namche Bazaar, you will cross the Dudh Koshi River and then pass through a forested area full of blue pine and rhododendron trees. Namche Bazaar, the gateway to Everest where you spend 2 nights acclimatizing to the altitude and walking around. Namche Bazaar is also known as Sherpa Capital, where you will have the option to explore the village and interact with the local Sherpa people to develop an insight into the culture, traditions, and lifestyle of the residents of the Everest region of Nepal.

After Namche Bazaar, the trail leads to Tengboche Hilltop Village and follows Dingboche, Lobuche, and Gorak Shep, the last teahouse settlement here on the way to Everest Base Camp. The day you reach Gorak Shep, you will continue the trek to Everest Base Camp (5364 m) and then back to Gorak Shep, and the next morning hike up to Kala Patthar (5545 m) to witness the sunrise and mountain views. After enjoying the beautiful view from Kala Patthar, go back to Gorak shep and have breakfast. After breakfast go to the helipad from where our chartered helicopter will take you back to Kathmandu.
