"A big thank you to Mr Binod and his great team for giving me a wholesome experience in Nepal ! Raj was my city guide in Kathmandu. He is a knowledgeable guide whom I am thankful to have met. His personal sharing during the sight-seeing trip has kept me interested in the Nepali’s cultural practices and the more down-to-earth aspects of life through a new lens. As for the trekking experience, an initial change in weather condition meant temporary closure of domestic flight at Lukla airport (the only instant access to my primary trek destination) which no human can predict. Thankfully, Binod and his team, who has had experience in the field for more than 15 years, was able provide considerably thoughtful advise: they even kept my international flight departure schedule in view (which I myself have overlooked). Eventually, they were able to come up with many alternative suggestions for me. Following discussion with this readily supportive team, I decided to transit to an interestingly rustic and culturally vibrant Langtang and Halembu Trek. Binod and team made it possible for me to reach the starting point of my trek within the same day very seamlessly. A big thank you to the remarkably skilful jeep driver who went ahead with driving an approximately 122km to bring us to an altitude of at least 1,503 meters above seas level – just so I could set off for my trek the next day as planned – even if it meant driving from Syabrubesi back to Kathmandu for yet another 7-8 hours in darkness alone. The trek that Binod and team had suggested was even more amazing. It turned out that we were lucky enough to trek along the beautifully snow-covered Lauribina pass on a September! While there was a change of initial plan, I found the overall experience with this team reassuring as my desire to trek remained not only unimpeded but still full of possibilities. As a solo trekker, I feel immensely thankful to Mr Bhairav and Mr Uttam who were on foot along the with me. They will remain as my most invaluable and trusted people to trek with, for providing me with the most fitting advice and providing me support and encouragement with where my physical strength was met with challenge along the trek. Having trekked through the rugged Himalayan terrains from a young age, it is without any doubt that Bhairav and Uttam are familiar with any paths ahead. When I can only keep trekking on with faith and a sense of curiosity of how the next tea-houses and sceneries ahead would be like, there was an additional sense of security when trekking with these qualified and experienced individuals as they were clearly in the knowing of what lies ahead of my trek. They were always ready to give me a helping hand at many points of the trek e.g. across rivers or rubbles that could potentially give way. While it is hard for everyone’s schedule to coincide, I do hope that I will be lucky enough to trek with Bhairav and Uttam again when I head back to Nepal again someday. Bhairav is a humorous guide who have a strong sense of dedication and good sense of humour to lighten things up along the trek when the going gets tough. Uttam is also a man of great strength whom I hope to trek alongside with, as my friend, without having him to carry the unnecessary load of my over-packed items on the trek in the future. Binod and his team is certainly equipped with a high level of expertise to turn any trekking experience into wonderful trekking memories that will last a lifetime. These individuals make for a truly professional, experienced and dedicated company for any avid trekkers to liaise with. This post is a mark of my respect, appreciation and gratitude for every one of them."
