The Mount Kailash and Manasarovar Lake tour via Simikot offers a truly spiritual and adventurous journey through the remote Humla region of western Nepal into the heart of Tibet. This unique route follows ancient pilgrimage and trade paths, beginning with a scenic mountain flight to Simikot, then trekking across high passes like Nara La to the Tibetan border at Taklakot.
Once in Tibet, the overland journey leads you to the sacred Lake Manasarovar and onward to Mount Kailash, the spiritual center of the universe for Hindus, Buddhists, Jains, and Bonpos. From Darchen, you’ll join fellow pilgrims on the revered Kora—a three-day trek around the holy mountain.
After completing the Kora, you travel westward across the vast Tibetan Plateau, with spectacular Himalayan views, before exiting Tibet via the Kyirong border and returning to Kathmandu.
This is a fully supported journey featuring camping and overland travel, with trekking from 2,745m to a maximum of 5,645m at Dolma La Pass.
