  • Overview of the trek

The Mount Kailash and Manasarovar tour via the Kyirong (Gyirong) border is the easiest and most affordable way to visit Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar from Nepal. After the 2015 earthquake, the Kodari border was damaged, and the Kyirong border was reopened for tourists, becoming the primary route for overland travel from Nepal to Tibet. This tour is one of the most popular pilgrimage journeys in Tibet, fulfilling the deep spiritual desires of Hindu pilgrims, as Mount Kailash is believed to be the abode of Lord Shiva.

In ancient times, reaching Mount Kailash for salvation (Mukti) took years for sages and saints, and the mountain was largely inaccessible to common people. However, with modern transportation, the once-isolated path to Kailash has become accessible to pilgrims and adventurers alike. Now, it takes just 10 days (excluding the Kathmandu part) to make this long-awaited dream come true.

The Mount Kailash tour is not only a spiritual pilgrimage but also one of Tibet’s most rewarding adventure tours. As sacred scriptures suggest, the journey to divinity is always difficult, and the trek to Mount Kailash will be a challenging but deeply fulfilling experience. It is a journey that connects you with both the physical and spiritual realms, making it a unique and unforgettable adventure.

This tour involves driving in and out from the Kyirong border, providing a convenient and cost-effective option for travelers. It’s an exciting opportunity to embark on a once-in-a-lifetime journey, blending both adventure and spirituality. Below is the detailed itinerary for the Mount Kailash tour, which takes you through stunning landscapes and sacred sites, ensuring a memorable and transformative experience.
