Manaslu Circuit Trek - 14 Days

Manaslu Circuit Trek
$1590 All Inclusive Price.

Manaslu Circuit Trek also known as Manaslu Round Trek, Larkya (Larke) Pass Trek is located in the Manaslu Himalayan region of Nepal. It is a favorite trek for all those who wish to take up adventure trekking and experience less crowded trekking trails in Nepal, where nature and culture have remained untouched by globalization and modernization. This rugged and beautiful valley has been open for tourism since 1991. After the construction of motor road in Annapurna circuit, Manaslu circuit has been converted into an alternate route to the Annapurna circuit. The history we found generations ago, refugees from Tibet arrived in the region and built stone-roofed villages such as Namrung, Samagaun and Samdo.

In this region, Tibetan Buddhist culture has been kept intact, as some outside influence has reached this remote region of Nepal. Stupas, mani stones, and prayer flags adorn the trail and are a constant reminder of the inhabitants' Tibetan Buddhist lineage.

The highlight and challenge of this trip are crossing the Larkya Pass (4930 m / 16174 ft), which is very difficult to cross when there is heavy snow at the top. The Manaslu area is protected by the Manasalu Conservation Area Project (MCAP) and is still maintained by the Government of Nepal as a restricted (controlled) area, open to group trekkers only, and requires a special trekking permit to enter the area. As visitors to the area increased, locals started providing accommodation and food for trekkers/visitors in their owned lodges/teahouses, simple but familiar.

The trek starts from Arughat Bazaar and ends at Bhulbhule. It takes about 6 hours drive from Kathmandu to Arughat Bazaar (Gorkha district) and about 7 hours drive from Bhulbhule to Kathmandu. During the trek, you will see Mount Manaslu (the eighth highest mountain in the world) and some other beautiful snow-capped mountains that stand out in the region. Apart from mountain views, you will find river valleys, rural villages, forests, birds, animals, glaciers, old Buddhist monasteries, innocent people and their cultures, etc.

After gathering good experiences on the trek you will reach Bhulbhule where your trek ends. From here you catch a public bus to Kathmandu.
