    Day 01

    Arrival at Paro International Airport and Transfer to Thimphu

    Arrive at Paro International Airport, where you'll be greeted and assisted through immigration. Afterward, enjoy a scenic 2-hour drive to Thimphu, Bhutan's capital. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and, time permitting, explore local markets or take a stroll through the city. Relax with a traditional Bhutanese dinner and rest for the night, ready for the days ahead.

    Sightseeing in Thimphu

    Start with a visit to Memorial Chorten, then explore Bhutanese arts at the National Institute for Zorig Chusum. See the Buddha Dordenma Statue for stunning views, and visit the Takin Preserve to spot Bhutan's national animal. Explore Tashichho Dzong and local markets like the Centenary Farmers Market. If time permits, enjoy a traditional cultural performance. End with a delicious Bhutanese dinner at a local restaurant before returning to your hotel to relax.

    Thimphu to Gangtey (150 km, 5 hrs)

    After breakfast in Thimphu, embark on a 5-hour drive to Gangtey, enjoying the stunning views along the way. Stop at Dochula Pass for panoramic views of the Himalayas and 108 chortens. Pass through Wangdue Phodrang, where you can capture photos of the landscape. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant along the route.     Depart early from Gangtey after breakfast for a 7-hour drive to Bumthang. Stop in Trongsa to visit the impressive Trongsa Dzong, the largest fortress in Bhutan. Cross the Yotong La Pass at 3,425 meters, offering stunning mountain views. Stop for lunch in Chumey Valley, famous for its woven fabrics, and see local weavers at work. Upon arrival in Bumthang, explore its serene valleys and spiritual landmarks. If time permits, take a gentle walk or visit a local temple. Check into your hotel for the evening and acclimatize to the higher elevation.

    Day 05

    Bumthang Sightseeing

    Start with a visit to Jakar Dzong, offering panoramic views of the valley. Explore Jambay Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest monasteries, followed by the sacred Kurjey Lhakhang. Visit the historic Tamshing Lhakhang, founded by Terton Pema Lingpa. Enjoy a traditional lunch and visit the Red Panda Brewery and Swiss Cheese Factory. End the day at Wangdichholing Palace, the first royal residence. Relax in the evening or stroll through Bumthang’s town center.

    Bumthang – Punakha (205 km / 7 hrs drive)

    Start early from Bumthang for the 7-hour drive to Punakha. Cross Yotong La Pass again, enjoying the scenic views, and make a brief stop in Trongsa. Stop for lunch near Chendebji Chorten, a peaceful spot with a Nepalese-style stupa. Experience the Peleg La Pass with panoramic mountain views. Upon reaching Punakha, enjoy its temperate climate and stunning valley. In the evening, relax or explore the riverside. Rest and prepare for the next day’s adventures in Punakha.

    Day 07

    Punakha – Paro (120 km / 4½ hrs drive)

    Start the day with a visit to Punakha Dzong, a stunning fortress at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers. On the way to Paro, stop at Chimi Lhakhang, the Temple of Fertility, known for its blessings. The scenic 4½-hour drive to Paro offers beautiful landscapes. Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant along the route. Upon arrival in Paro, check into your hotel and relax. If time permits, visit Paro Rinpung Dzong, a historic fortress-monastery. Spend the evening at leisure, preparing for the next day's hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery.

    Paro Sightseeing

    Start the day with an early morning hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Paro Taktsang), perched on a cliff 900 meters above the valley. This sacred site is where Guru Rinpoche meditated after flying on a tigress. The hike is challenging but offers spectacular views. Afterward, stop for lunch at the cafeteria, with a great view of the monastery. Visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of Bhutan’s oldest temples, followed by Paro Dzong, an architectural masterpiece.     Transfer to Paro International Airport (20 min drive) for departure

    After breakfast, check out from your hotel and enjoy a short 20-minute drive to Paro International Airport. Your guide will assist with check-in and luggage.     Packing & Gear
