Gosaikunda and Helambu Trek

Gosaikunda and Helambu Trek is the most popular culturally and naturally beautiful trekking in Nepal Himalayas. It takes you in two popular trek destinations - Gosaikunda Lake and Helambu Valley. This trek has several trek starting and ending points, but it is more common to start from Dhunche and end at Sundarijal. This option provides an opportunity to walk in Langtang National Park and Shivapuri National Park. If you don't want to end the trek at Sundarijal, it is also possible to end at Melamchi Pul Bazaar, which goes through Melamchi Village (Gaon), Tarke Ghyang, and Sermathang, but takes longer.
Gosaikunda Lake is one of the most popular pilgrimages for Hindus and Buddhists. It is the largest lake in the region. Helambu Valley is an area of highland villages in Nepal. This is the home of the Hyolmo people. To start the trek from Dhunche you have to take a bus or private vehicle from Kathmandu in the morning. It takes about seven hours to reach Dhunche, the headquarters of Rasuwa district.
The trek passes through various landscapes and lush green forest ranging from subtropical to alpine environments, terraced fields, waterfalls, rivers, hills and super beautiful mountains views. After an easy walk of a few minutes from Dhunche, you climb through rhododendron, oak, and coniferous forests to the Sing Gompa (monastery), and then take a fairly easy walk to Chandanbari and continue uphill again to Gosaikunda. During the journey, you will get to see spectacular views of the Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, and Langtang ranges.
After Gosaikunda you will cross Louribina Pass (4610 m) and continue the trek to Helambu Valley. Helambu Valley offers amazing culture and gorgeous views of Gauri Shankar (7134 m), Langtang Lirung (7246 m), Ganesh Himal (7405 m), and many snow-capped peaks. Finally, you reach Sundarijal where our trek ends, and drive back to Kathmandu Hotel.
