Everest View Trekking
Everest View Trekking provides the great view of world's highest peak Mount Everest, Tengboche monastery, Sherpa community and their culture and lifestyle. This trek is one of the short and easy trekking for the Everest panorama view which is the best option for those who don’t have enough time to continue trek to Mount Everest Base Camp. The trek takes to you till at Tengboche/Thyangboche Monastery/Gompa also known as Dawa Choling Gompa, this is the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in the Khumbu/Everest Region, situated at 3867 meters from the sea level.
Each year, the Tengboche monastery hosts the delightful Mani Rimdu Festival on the tenth lunar month of Tibetan calendar, corresponding to the months of October-November. The Tengboche Monastery is surrounded by rhododendron forest. The monastery is structurally located on a ridge top with commanding views of the Everest landscape including world's highest peak Mount Everest (8848 meters), Lhotse, Ama dablam, Nuptse, Thamserku and more other beautiful mountains.
The Everest View Trekking is starts from Lukla (2840 m) after 35 minutes spectacular flight journey from Kathmandu airport (1350 m). The trekking passes through the several Sherpa villages like Phakding, Namche bazaar, Khumjung village, Khunde village and many other small villages. From every village can be seen incredible mountain views.
Namche Bazaar is the gateway of the Khumbu Valley. It is trade center - selling goods. From Namche Bazaar people can visit the Everest View hotel - the luxury hotel in Everest Region. The trail to Tengboche follows the contour from Namche Bazaar and then descends to the Dudh Koshi River before climbing again to Tengboche Monastery. After Tengboche trek back to Lukla and end the trekking.
