Trip Summary

Everest View Trek is the most popular, short, and rather easy trekking path in the Nepal Everest region. This is perfect for travelers who want to see the greatness of Mount Everest without embarking on the Strenuous and lengthy trek. True to its name, this trekking gives fantastic views of the highest mountain on Earth, as well as with other huge mountains such as Lhotse, Ama Dablam and Nupse.

In addition to the scenery, the trek provides a chance to experience traditional Sherpa life and culture, looking at ancient Buddhist monasteries and trek with beautiful mountain villages. The highest point of the trip is Tengbocha at 3,867 meters, which is known for its beautiful Rhododendron -forests and respected Tengboche monastery (Dawa Choling Gompa). It is the largest monastery in the region and hosts the lively Mani Remdu festival every autumn.

The trek usually begins with a small flight from Kathmandu or Ramchhap to Lukla, a small town in the Everest region, which is used as the entrance. From Lukla, the trail passes through Sherpa villages, forests and Ricky suspension bridge, which is scattered in rivers. The trekker will usually stop for the region's most important trade hub, acclimatization in Namche Bazaar. On the day of the acclimatization in Namche Bazaar, you will stand to a nearby approach or go to the Everest View Hotel, a luxurious lodge in the region. It is renowned for its breathtaking panoramic views of Mount Everest and the surrounding Himalayan peaks.

From Namche Bazaar, the route goes east towards Tengboche, dropping down to cross the Dudh Koshi River and then gradually ascend through pine and rhododendron forest. There are small Sherpa villages along the way before finally arriving at the well-known Tengboche Monastery, situated on a ridge overlooking Mount Everest, Ama Dablam, and other peaks. The route today provides great scenery and authentic cultural experience.

The Everest View Trek is moderately challenging but not technical, and therefore appropriate for anyone of any age who is prepared to face some steep climb and altitude fluctuation. The trek goes back to Lukla after it reaches Tengboche, from where you catch the flight back to Kathmandu, concluding an unforgettable journey through one of the most magnificent mountain ranges on the planet.
