Annapurna Panorama Trek

Annapurna Panorama Trek

Annapurna Panorama Trek is one of the most popular trekking located in the famous Annapurna region of Nepal. It takes you to the most beautiful places, including Ghorepani, Poon Hill, and Ghandruk village, from where you can witness amazing mountain views, nature's beauty, wildlife, and lovely culture with smiling people. From Ghorepani, it takes about 40 minutes walking time to reach Poon Hill (3210 meters) to see the panorama views with prime sunrise. Poon Hill offers the best view of sunrise in the entire Annapurna region. Just like the name of the trek, you will get to see very beautiful panoramic views during the trek.

Of course, it is a short and easy trek in Annapurna to see the wonderful views of above 8000 Meters mountains including Mt. Dhaulagiri and Mt. Annapurna (I) as well as other less than 8000 meters higher mountains including Annapurna South, Machhapuchhre (fishtail), Gangapurna, Lamjung Himal, Barasikhar, Nilgiri, Tukuche Peak, Hiunchuli and with a maze of other peaks slowly begins to appear like magic, before our eyes.

The trek starts from Nayapul, which is about an hour's drive from the tourist center Pokhara. The trek via Ulleri village is a more common route, but it is also possible to trek via Ghandruk village. The trek offers spectacular mountain scenery through charming villages inhabited by the Gurungs, dense rhododendron forests full of birds and deep subtropical valleys.

It is possible to make the trek itinerary shorter and longer as per the wishes of the customer, but the itinerary given below is more popular for Annapurna Panorama (Ghorepani Ghandruk Circuit/Circle) trek. There is good availability of teahouse/lodge facilities on this trek trail, so most of the trekkers prefer to eat and sleep in teahouse, which is much cheaper than camping trekking.
