The main highlights of the trek are crossing the world-famous high mountain pass Thorong la Pass (5,416 m) and visiting the sacred Muktinath Temple. Normally, most trekkers start the Annapurna Circuit Trek in Besisahar or Bhulebhule and finish it in Jomsom. There are many advantages to finish the trek in Jomsom and fly or drive to Pokhara from there. In this way, trekkers can save time and do not have to walk on the road between Jomsom and Tatopani (hot spring).

From Muktinath, continue trekking to Jomsom (2,713 meters). This part of the trail is relatively easier, as you will be descending. The next day, you will drive or fly out from Jomsom to Pokhara, depending on your travel plans. The quickest and most convenient way to travel from Jomsom to Pokhara is by taking a domestic flight.
