Introduction to Annapurna Circuit Trek 10 Days
The Annapurna Circuit Trek 10 Days is a shorter version of the classic Annapurna Circuit, designed for trekkers with limited time who still want to experience its high mountain section. The journey begins at Chame (2,670 m) and continues through Upper Pisang, Ngawal, Manang, Yak Kharka, and Thorong Phedi before crossing Thorong La Pass (5,416 m) and descending to Muktinath. From there, we travel through the Kali Gandaki Valley toward Tatopani and Pokhara.
The trek starts at Chame after a scenic drive from Kathmandu. We follow the Marsyangdi Valley through Bratang and Dhukur Pokhari toward Upper Pisang (3,300 m), passing pine and fir forests, rocky slopes, streams, and mountain settlements. From Upper Pisang, we take the higher route through Ghyaru and Ngawal before continuing through Mungji and Bhraka to Manang (3,540 m). The trail combines mountain scenery with traditional villages, Buddhist monasteries, mani walls, chortens, and prayer flags.
Road development has changed several sections of the Annapurna Circuit. Some parts now share the road, while other sections remain suitable for walking. We use available trekking trails wherever possible, although road travel is necessary on certain sections. The exact walking and driving arrangements may vary depending on local road and trail conditions.
We spend an acclimatization day in Manang before continuing toward higher elevations. You can explore the village or take a suitable hike to Gangapurna Lake or Praken Gompa. From Manang, the trail climbs through Tengi and Gunsang toward Yak Kharka (4,050 m) and continues through Ledar to Thorong Phedi (4,450 m). We then make an early start for Thorong La Pass, the highest point of the trek, before making the long descent to Muktinath (3,800 m), an important pilgrimage destination for Hindu and Buddhist communities.
From Muktinath, we travel by road through the Kali Gandaki Valley toward Tatopani. The route passes through dry mountain landscapes, river valleys, and local settlements as the elevation decreases. From Tatopani, we continue toward Pokhara (820 m) by road. If you travel by private vehicle, a short stop at the natural hot springs can be arranged before continuing the journey.
The Annapurna Circuit Trek 10 Days is a suitable option for trekkers who want to experience the high-altitude section of the classic route within a shorter timeframe. It combines Thorong La Pass, Manang, Muktinath, the Kali Gandaki Valley, mountain villages, and changing landscapes in one well-planned journey. Our team arranges the necessary permits, transportation, guide, accommodation, and essential services, providing reliable support throughout the trek.
