Ghorepani and Tatopani trek

Ghorepani and Tatopani (Natural hot spring) trekking offers the spectacular mountain scenery along with charming villages inhabited particularly by the Pun Gurungs and Magars, dense rhododendron forests full of birds and deep sub-tropical valleys, all set below the Annapurnas with the picturesque peak of Machhapuchhare (Fishtail Peak) dominating the skyline and the natural hot pond where we take bath for tired muscle. One of the important highlight of Ghorepani Tatopani trip is to make a climb on Pun Hill “public tower”, possibly the most spectacular mountain scrapes on Earth. When sun rises, it touches the snow-capped summits the Himalayan giants, Dhaulagiri (8,167m) and Annapurna (8,091m) along with a maze of other peaks, there gradually appear, just like magic that your eye could not believe.

Ghorepani Tatopani trekking fetch is the beautiful and ornate village of Ghandruk, home to the Annapurna Conservation Area Project, where you have a chance to visit the project to discover at first hand the conservation work being carried out. There is Gurung Museum, Monastery is interesting to visit. Then we visit Pun Hill for sunrise and sunset after that direcclty walk down to Tatopani natural hot spring. Tatopani to Pokhara there is road facilities but still some part of journey you will drive in off road which is also a type adventure experience in Nepal Himalaya.

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu
After you arrive in Kathmandu airport please check our company board outside the main gate there will be our airport representative you will meet with him and he will transferred to hotel by private vehicle and our representative will help you to check-in your hotel after that if time enough, representative will take you to our office for short briefing about the trip but if not enough time then give a short trip brief in hotel and request to pay the due balance for the trip. Overnight at Hotel

Day 02: Sightseeing to Swayambhunath, Kathmandu and Patan
After breakfast, tour guide will take to you for full day sightseeing in historical monuments sightseeing places including swayambhunath known as monkey temple, Kathmandu durbar square & Patan durbar square then drive back to Hotel. Overnight at hotel

Day 03- Drive to Pokhara (850m)
Trekking staff will arrive at your hotel at 6:30 am to pick you up to tourist bus station for journey to Pokhara. Normally bus leave at 7:00 am from Kantipath and it takes about 7 hours from Kathmandu. Today, you can take a breakfast in your hotel that you order earlier night or request to manage packing breakfast that you eat in bus journey because on the way we are not stopping for breakfast as well not available good breakfast but we stop for a lunch so try to eat Nepalese food (Dal Bhat). Afternoon you arrive in Pokhara then check in your hotel and refresh and look around lakeside. Pokhara is a beautiful valley, with panoramic views of Annapurna, Machapuchare (shape of fish tail) in the north, Dhaulagiri in the west, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu in the east. The town of Pokhara is set on the banks of the Phewa Lake. It is smaller and much less hectic than Kathmandu providing the perfect starting point for our trek. Overnight at hotel.

Day 04: Pokhara drive to Dhampus Phedi trek to Pothana (1900m)
T rek from Phedi to Pothana takes about five hours. From here you begin your trek to Pothana (1900m.). The trail ascends all the way to Pothana through forests till you reach the village called Dhampus. It is a Gurung village which gives you an opportunity to look at the magnificent views of Annapurna ranges, Lamjung Himal and Manaslu. The ascent trail follows to Pothana through the forests. Stay overnight at teahouse /lodge

Day 05: Pothana trek to Ghandruk (1940m)
Trek from Pothana to Ghandruk takes about seven hours. First part of your trek from Pothana to Deurali gradually ascends. From Deurali your trail descends to Bheri Kharka. From then on the path is flat till Landruk. The trail from Landruk is a steep descend till Modi Khola. Now the trail ascends all the way up to Ghandruk village. Ghandruk is a big Gurung village from where you can enjoy the mountain view of Annapurna ranges and Fishtail. Stay overnight at teahouse /lodge

Day 06: Ghandruk trek to Tadapani (2630m)
Trek from Ghandruk to Tadapani and it takes about four hours. The trek begins through the Gurung village with beautiful Rhododendron trees, a birds chirping and welcoming the guests to their area. The stream runs down its clear and pure water as we climb up. We will come across the place named Bherikharka with some tea shops and lodges for a rest. The trek then continues with the forest of Rhododendron trees. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 07: Tadapani trek to Ghorepani (2855m)
Trek from Tadapani to Ghorepani (2855m.) which takes about five hours. Today’s trek starts with a short decline till a small stream and then uphill through the Rhododendron trees. We come across a place name Banthahiti with the facility of tea houses and lodges. From here, the trail ascends through the forests up to Gurung Hill. Now the trail descends through the forest till Ghorepani. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 08: Visit Poon Hill (3210m) then trek to Tatopani (1189m)
Trek from Ghorepani to Tatopani takes about seven and half hours. This day offers you an early morning trip to Poon Hill (3232m.) to enjoy the sunrise view over Mt. Dhaulagiri (8167m.), Tukuche Peak (6920m.), Nilgiri (6940m.), Varaha Shikhar (7847m.), Mt. Annapurna I (8091m.), Annapurna South (7219m.), Annapurna III (7855m.), Machhapuchhare (6993m.), Annapurna IV (7525m.), Annapurna II (7937m.), Lamjung Himal (6931m.) and other snowcapped mountain peaks. After breakfast you trek from Ghorepani to Tatopani. You descend, gradually at first and then more steeply to cross the Ghar Khola. At Tatopani you can enjoy the Natural Hot Spring Bath. Stay overnight at lodge.

Day 09: Tatopani drive bus / Jeep to Pokhara (850m)
It takes approximately 7 hours drive from Tatopani to Pokhara

Day 10: Pokhara drive tourist bus to Kathmandu (1350m)
It takes about seven hours, while driving from Pokhara to Kathmandu, you head up to Damauli,, Dumre, Muglin and Kurintar where the Nepal's first Cable car is operated to reach to Manakamana Temple. En route, you could enjoy the mountain views, green sceneries, rice terrace fields, vegetable fields and people being engaged in their daily life activities. From Naubishe you climb up to Thankot, the gateway to capital city. You can also fly from Pokhara to Kathmandu which takes about 25 minutes. Overnight Hotel

Day 11: Sightseeing to Boudhanath, Pashupatinath and Bhaktapur
After breakfast, tour guide will take to you for full day sightseeing in historical monuments sightseeing places including Boudhanath (biggest Buddhist stupa), Pashupatinath temple (A biggest Hindu temple) & Bhaktapur durbar square then drive back to Hotel.

Day 12: Leisure day in Kathmandu
Today, you have leisure day for relax or shopping in Kathmandu so you can do your own activities by yourself or consult with company to arrange extra activities. Overnight at hotel

Day 13: Depart Kathmandu
After breakfast, End of our services with departure transfer to the Kathmandu airport to board flight for your onward destination
