Each year, the Tengboche monastery hosts the delightful Mani Rimdu Festival on the tenth lunar month of Tibetan calendar, corresponding to the months of October-November. The Tengboche Monastery is surrounded by rhododendrons forest. The monastery is structurally located on a ridge top with commanding views of the Everest landscape including world's highest peak Mount Everest (8848 meters), Lhotse, Ama dablam, Nuptse , Thamserku and more other beautiful mountains.
Everest View trek starts from Lukla (2840m) after 35 minutes spectacular flight journey from Kathmandu airport (1350m). The trek passes through the several Sherpa villages like Phakding, Namche bazaar, Khumjung village, Khunde village and many other small villages. From every village can be seen incredible mountains views. Namche Bazaar is gateway of Khumbu Valley. It is trade centre - selling goods. From Namche Bazaar people can visit the Everest View hotel - the luxury hotel in Everest region. The trail to Tengboche follows contour from Namche Bazaar and then descends to the Dudh Koshi River before climbing again to Tengboche Monastery. After Tengboche trek back to Lukla and end the trekking.
