Budhanilkantha to Gosainkunda Trekking

Budhanilkantha to Gosainkunda trekking is newly promoted trekking trail by trekking agencies association of Nepal (TAAN). As a new trekking route to Gosainkunda, the Budhanilkantha to Gosainkunda trek begins from Budhanilkantha via Shivapuri National Park; one of Nepal’s youngest national park which adjoins the capital city Kathmandu. Gosainkunda lake trek passes through dozens of holy lakes including Sagarkunda, Yeklekunda and Gosainkunda Lakes. In route, Manebhanjyang and Baghmara view points offers magnificent views of Rauchuli (4100m) and Jhyakumchuli (4500m). As an easy trekking destination, this forms a major part of Buddhist and Hindus pilgrimage trek attracting thousands of visitors to holy Gosainkunda Lake trekking during the full moon festival in August. This trekking is short trekking from Kathmandu valley.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu,.Transfer to the hotel. Welcome dinner in the evening.
Day 02: Half Day Sight seeing in Kathmandu and preparation for the trek
Day 03: Budhanilkantha (1400m.) – Alchhe (1790m.) – 4 hours
Day 04: Alchhe (1790m.): - Manebanjyang (1780m.) - 5 hours
Day 05: Manebanjyang (1780mt.) – Baghamara (1825 mt.) – 6 hours
Day 06: Baghmara (1825mt.) – Sagarkunda (2915mt.) – 5:30 hours
Day 07: Sagarkunda (2915mt.) – Yeklekunda (3800mt.) 07:00 hours
Day 08: Yeklekunda (3800mt.) – Gosainkunda (4380mt.) 07:00 hours
Day 09: Rest and Expliration around Godainkunda
Day 10: Return to Rahu (3785m)  & you can see the wide range of the landscape including Kathmandu valley)
Day 11: Rahu to Kalche (typical Nepalese settlement by Tamang tribe)
Day 12: Kalche to Nuwakot (Historical place of Nepal) - 3 hours walk then drive Back to Kathmandu
Day 13: Bhaktapur & Patan sightseeing and return
Day 14: Free day in Kathmandu for shopping or relax
Day 15: Drive to Airport for flying your own destination
